About me

Who I am

I’m a passionate human-centred designer and digital strategist who enjoys rising to a challenge and bringing out the best in a team. I have a talent for untangling complex problems and bringing people together to deliver excellent solutions.

I have over 15 years’ experience working in and leading multidisciplinary teams delivering digital initiatives across higher education, state and federal government environments.

I’m a certified scrum master who’s comfortable navigating complexity, uncertainty and flux to deliver products and services that make a difference.

I have a background in marketing, communication, training and facilitation – and a penchant for storytelling, with an honours degree in creative writing.

Bowerbird and proud

I love to learn. Whether it’s a concept or a skill, a structured experience or entirely unplanned – you can be sure I’m going to learn from it, use it, and celebrate it. Probably by teaching it to someone else.

And I believe giants have broad shoulders because they’re designed to be stood on!

Being agile shouldn’t mean we start from scratch every time. When we build on others’ success, adapting, re-using, improving – we make time and space in the process to innovate on unsolved problems and new things.

“Rachael is a content strategist and multi discipline designer with a broad T shape of skills… [she] can lead activities or support others to ensure good design outcomes. She is calm under pressure, enthusiastic, committed, highly professional and most importantly – lots of fun to work with!”
